Mindy L. Hitchcock is an experienced Michigan family law attorney and mediator with a proven record of excellent results for her clients. In a field known to reward "scorched earth" tactics that often leave families devastated, she has adopted a distinctly holistic approach to divorce law which is based on a clear eyed recognition that divorce is an outworking of life-changing forces which can be mastered and channeled to the highest good for all concerned.
In college, Ms. Hitchcock's unique communication and research skills led to her induction into the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. In 2006, she was elected President of the International Alliance of Holistic Lawyers, one of the oldest organizations of its kind. As a member of the State Bar of Michigan's Family Law Section and the Collaborative Law Institute of Michigan, she works to promote continuing strong family relationships for divorcing couples, by regular contributions to periodicals and other writings.
Mindy constantly expands and builds upon her strengths with additional training in areas such as collaborative divorce law, as well as the latest developments in family law. Combining her gifts for communication and extensive legal knowledge with a determination to help her clients achieve mastery in difficult personal life situations, Attorney Hitchcock has built a proven record of success.

Drawing from her own life experiences, a dedicated study of spiritual philosophies and teachings, and extensive involvement in the self-help movement, Mindy offers a pragmatic yet loving approach to help people through some of the most difficult legal times of their lives with skill and compassion.
She also maintains a self-help website that serves a world-wide audience. Mindy says, "I believe we teach what we need to learn and by helping others, we ultimately help ourselves." Like most people, the wisdom she has learned through the years came from her own challenges, both as the child of a bitter divorce and, as an adult, her own divorce after 23 years of marriage. That is why she can honestly tell her clients that from the worst experiences of our lives, come the best experiences, if we are open to the lesson.
